Tungsten and molybdenum electrodes for resistance welding
During the welding of thick sheets, the forces between the electrode and the parts to be joined may reach as much as 450 MPa. This represents a considerable challenge for the welding electrodes that have to withstand these loads.
The embedded electrode we produce ourselves is a kind of resistance spot welding electrode, also called combined electrode. High-quality tungsten alloy is used as the electrode end, and the internal structure is dense and free of voids. The rod is made of copper or chrome-zirconium copper, which maintains high electrical conductivity and high heat dissipation.
We regard the following factors as crucial:
1. Material properties of the solid electrode and the electrode inserts
2. 100-percent connection of the back-cast electrode
3. Electrode processing in accordance with your specific requirements
