High Purity Tungsten Rhenium Probe Wire
Rhenium is added to high-temperature superalloys that are used to make jet engine parts, using 70% of the worldwide rhenium production. Another major application is in platinum–rhenium catalysts, which are primarily used in making lead-free, high-octane gasoline.
The resistivity of tungsten-rhenium wire is higher than non-sag tungsten wire and rapidly increases with temperature. The high resistivity allows our designers to use larger wire diameters, which is important in applications where strength is one of the top considerations.
Weilai uses solid-liquid method to mix powder to improve the uniformity of rhenium. And through multiple annealing, the performance of tungsten-rhenium wire is improved significantly.The main types we manufactured are Re content of 1%-26% and diameter of Φ0.1mm and above . Other specifications and models can be customized as needed.
